This year I wasn't ready for school to start. It was bittersweet because I knew they would all enjoy learning and meeting new friends, but I also knew it meant schedules, homework, and time away from the safety of our home. We had a wonderful summer full of vacations, swim, work, and play. It was hard to let that come to a close. Now that school is back in and we have adjusted to the schedules everyone is doing well! Back to school shopping for shoes and backpacks was hard. I didn't think it would be. However, finding a good backpack and pair of shoes that fit right was quite the task! We did the usual buying of supplies and getting first day outfits picked out. We also talked about our goals for this year and what we all could do as a family to make it a good school year. It was so wonderful watching Jon give each one of our little school kids a priesthood blessing and I was so grateful for the words he spoke to them. They all have wonderful teachers and so far have met fun new friends. Bentley has really taken off with his reading comprehension and math skills. Bailey is memorizing poems, and learning letter sounds, science, and church stories. Wyatt is also learning songs, how to play well with others, and letter recognition and pronunciation. Here is too a great 2015-2016 school year! I can't forget to mention poor Sophia. She is a champ having to be in and out of the car for pick ups and drop offs. She has also enjoyed having a few quiet moments just the two of us. I can tell she misses the kids when they are away because she crawls all around the house looking for them! She gets the biggest smile when we go pick them up or when the bus drops them off!
