February 2019

February was an unusually cold month. A record was set for the coldest it has been in 100 years which is pretty crazy. We came home from our trip to California to Snow on the mountains near our house and very cold temperatures in the 30's. It was pretty windy and raining most of the month and we loved seeing those snow covered hills so close by. We celebrated Bentley turning the big 10 on his Golden birthday. He has impressed us every step of the way and is turning into a delightful, funny, smart, spiritual, musical, athletic young man. He has made good friends and he continues to be a good friend. He often will come sit by me and want to chat or see how I am doing. He is also a good example to his siblings. We celebrated by doing to KTR and jumping/running/playing the night away. He invited 15 friends including his siblings, we had Pizza, Maple Donuts from Bosa, and opened presents. I would say it was a night to remember and the boys were all so much fun! I was able to bring a treat to Bentley's class as well and I loved seeing his classmates sing to him. We are grateful for Bentley boy, and often he gets called Bopper by me. Another awesome thing he got to do for his birthday was attend a fireside at the Cardinals stadium to hear President Nelson, President Oaks, and their wives speak. Jon took our three oldest and it was a great experience for them to see that stadium filled with people of all ages to hear the Prophet and our Apostle speak. Their wives also spoke and the spirit was felt and knowledge gained. Next we celebrated Valentines day! I got the kids all a little Valentine treat from Jon and I. They loved that and the yummy breakfast I made. Next they celebrated at school with the traditional Valentine box and treat exchange. Jon and I were able to go out to dinner the next night and celebrate our love that day. Later in the month we celebrated again for our anniversary. We have been married 14 years. It has been quite the journey and I would say that I fall more in love and in awe with Jon as each year passes. Our marriage is not without flaw and we fight often, but I am grateful for Jon who is in this marriage eternally, and who values me as an equal partner. We have had the best of times and the worst of times, but I wouldn't choose anyone else to do that with! The rest of February was pretty normal with school, work, house work, yard work, kids activities, and just hanging out. We also got to attend our Nephew Colby's Baptism. I am grateful for family and that we live close by to support each other!
