August 2019

We had a lay night flight back from our trip to Montana and got in just to start school the next day! Luckily we had prepared the backpacks and other back to school things before we left! It was a stressful morning but the kids all handled it well and got to their classes with all their new school supplies. Everyone loves their new teachers and are having a great start to school! Back to school always brings mixed emotions in all fronts and time to adjust to all the changes of our summer schedule. Olivia misses her siblings home all day long but she is loving one on one time with me and with Sophia for part of the day. She is talking so much and I would say she is the best talker of all our kids so far! She is doing big girl things and wants to be included in every activity! She has a love of traveling and has been begging to go back in the airplane. Every time she sees an airplane she points and says momma I go. She loves riding her strider bike and being outdoors. She also loves playing with dolls and is the cutest little mommy. Sophia is in her last year of preschool and is back at Greenfield with wonderful teachers. She is still struggling with her speech and pronunciation but I admire her determination and willingness to correct herself. She is tall for her age and seems to grow more each day! She is a monkey and likes to climb everything. She loves painting and coloring. She is a great friend and has a giving heart! Wyatt still gets anxiety about school but he is doing much better this year with a great teacher (Mrs. Garcia) and good friends in his class. He is a big for his age and will often play after school outside with Bentley and his friends for pickup basketball or football. Wyatt is a big talker and likes to act tough. He also has a soft heart and is the first to ask me if I need help with anything! Bailey also scored with a great teacher and has one of her best friends in her class! School is tough for her but she seems to push through and not let it bother her! She is a lot like I was growing up and loves girly things like hair , makeup, and clothes. But she can also go play football or soccer with the boys and hold her own. Bentley is doing well in school and he is even taking and accelerated math class. He came home the other day and said he was 5th in the class of 32 when it comes to grades. He is doing so well and I am proud of the detail and hard work he puts in! Bentley is a good friend and has the best group to ride bikes with to school and play with after school! He has already stated his first year of tackle football and is doing so well! The coaches awarded him with a Bronco logo sticker for his helmet and recognized him as one of the hardest workers. Jon is still growing his business and working hard! He got a new work van with his newly designed logo. I think it looks great! He is very knowledgeable and does a great job running his pest control business. He is also a hands on dad that likes to take the kids out to eat, he attends all there activities, and he loves to be with them. I am doing my best to run this household of seven people. There are so many moving parts and life seems to get busier with each month. I do long for simpler times but I do take joy in watching everyone learn grow and develop talents all there own! I am still nursing Olivia and can’t seem to get her to stop. I am ready to be done but she has no other comfort so since she is our last baby I just guess I am in no rush either. In other happenings, cooper is getting slower and older, we wonder how long he will be around. He is part of our family and it will be a sad day to see him go. The kids are still swimming and Jon has decided he wants to buy a boat so our family can enjoy more lake time. I am not wanting to do that because I heard boats can be difficult to own and operate but I am willing to give it a go. Collin turned 16 so we surprised him at lunch to backyard taco. He is a fine young man and we are lucky he came to our family!
