Preschool for Bailey and Championship game for Bentley

The month of March has started off with a bang! Bailey started preschool which she absolutely loves and is so excited about. After some work I was a able to get the teacher and days we wanted hooray!! She is with Bentley's old teacher Miss Mary and so she is really comfortable already with her and the classroom was familiar. I was terrified even more to send her on the bus then I was with Bentley, but she was too excited to go on the bus that I couldn't say no. I will continue to monitor and see how I feel about this bus situation. I mean she is only 3! I can't wait to see how much she learns:) She picked out a pink barbie backpack against my urgings toward another one. She loves it and tries to fill it with all sorts of things! Bentley ended his season of Flag football playing for the NY Giants by making it to the Championship game against the Dolphins. The team they played were all older and bigger. They also had played together for a few years making it hard for our little unexperienced team to score. However, the kids all had a blast, and Bentley didn't know whether he won or lost so thats good! He just loved playing and was a great quarterback! He also had wonderful coaches and teammates!

February was filled with lots of Celebrating!

February is already a busy month with Bentley's birthday, Valentines, and our Anniversary! However when you add friends birthdays, baby showers (Carli with twin boys, and Shalayne with a girl), and other extended families birthdays, it feels like you are celebrating all month long!! Lets just say I ate way too many treats and had too many laughs to count! February was fun! Jon and I celebrated Valentines by going to dinner and a movie. I know it sounds simple but that is what we like! I love food and Jon loves movies:) We also Celebrated our ninth anniversary with a nice dinner! We decided to set some goals for the next year regarding our relationship and that with our kids. I liked doing that and it feels good to recognize the good things we are doing and to want to work on the things we can do better! We have learned and grown together so much and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for our family. I was also able to go on a field trip to B and B farms to see how bees make honey with Bentley's preschool class. The kids ( and I ) were all so fascinated. We have had fun watching Bentley at his football games and bailey learn new dances. They are both growing and learning so much. Lastly I wanted to mention the fun lemonade stand we ran with friends. It was our first experience and the kids loved it. Here are some pictures from all the February fun and Celebrating:)

Bentley's 5th birthday!

Bentley is 5! I can't believe my first born is already that old. It is crazy/scary how time can just pass us by like this. Bentley is still my sweet, sensitive, smart, handsome boy. He tells be several times a day "momma your beautiful" or "momma I love you"! Sometimes those sweet words help me to get through the particularly tough days and so I am so thankful for his sweet spirit. Bentley brought sugar cookies to school with him on his birthday and had fun celebrating with his class. He came home with a fun birthday crown on! Bentley has a had a party for every birthday since he was born so this year I decided we would just keep it small. Bentley wanted a football cake. He told me he wanted the whole field so I did me best:) He also wanted to go bowling. So I told him he could invite one friend and then family members would go. My mom, Collin, Tyler, and our little family with Bentley's friend were the ones who ended up going. We all had fun and decided we needed to go bowling more often. Bentley got some awesome gifts he had been wanting and his friend got him a skateboard. I thought it was funny that Bentley really wanted an alarm clock, but he and the other kids love it. This clock tells him what time it is and tells him when it's time to get up! He also got some wii games and a wii controller that he loves. Bentley loves the color blue, his favorite things to do are play with friends (Brock in particular), play football, play the wii (he is so good it's scary), and something he really loves to do as of late is to read! He asks me to listen to him read several times a day and has even started reading to his little brother and sister. I love that his preschool teacher is teaching him book of mormon names because he can help read the scriptures when I am reading to the kids too. Bentley loves quesadilla's and ice cream. He colors pictures( in the lines now!) and even creates scenes on paper by drawing them. He loves to go on long bike rides and play at the park. He loves to dance and makes us laugh hysterically with some of the booty shaking he does. He is mostly up beat and I am told by people that know him as well as complete strangers that he radiates happiness and is always smiling. He is a great older brother and is so good to share with and help his siblings. We love you Bentley!
