June 2020

This summer is a little different than the past. Just like everything else summer activities have been cancelled or changed due to the corona virus. The kids chose not to do swim team to avoid being around so many people and waking up at 6am for practice. The only we signed up for was basketball camp for the boys with a small group. They really enjoyed it but Bentley’s feet are really bothering him so we didn’t sign them up for anything else. We took Bentley to a podiatrist and we found out he has Severes syndrome and growing pains. We had him fitted for shoes and are going to have to be very careful with what activities he does so he can heal. He has to do stretches, ice, and use insoles to help with the problem. Bailey has tried out for a soccer team with mostly older girls and she made the team. She should learn a lot this year and it will be good for her to have some good teams to play. The great thing about this league is she won’t ever play on Sunday which is nice because most other soccer clubs have to play on sundays. We have kept busy doing chores, workbooks, and goals they set for the summer. We have had lots of fun swimming, playing games, and inviting a few select families over to join us. We also got invited to ride horses at my long time friend Kelsee Brady bradshaws house. We are still trying to be very careful with this virus but also want to continue some normalcy of life. It’s a fine balance and I hope that we can stay healthy. This month we had to make the hard decision and let our dog cooper pass on. Cooper was with us for 14.5 years and he left a lasting impression on us all. He was the best dog and we love him so much! He is so missed! We said our goodbyes after he spent about two week being very sick and declining. It was a hard call to make but we are glad he is out of pain and up in heaven. There were lots of tears shed and our family and friends helped us to feel loved and uplifted by giving us their condolences and bringing us treats and flowers to cheer us up. We are so lucky to have so many who care for us and thought to do that. We had an opportunity to go to lake Powell for a few days! It was such a beautiful lake and we had so much fun exploring, wakesurfing, tubing, swimming, climbing Sandhills, cliff jumping, and being together.
