Jon and I are the proud parents of our sweet children Bentley, Bailey, Wyatt, Sophia, and Olivia. We love spending time as a family, especially outdoors. I enjoy being a mom, baking, reading, and working as a dental hygienist part time. Jon loves being a dad, playing hockey, riding dirt bikes, working out, and also keeps himself busy with his pest control company. Our kids keep us busy with sports, music, dance, gymnastics, and school.

Happy 4th Birthday Bentley!
When I told Bentley he could have a party for his birthday and invite friends he immediately said I want a lightening mcQueen cars party. I was not to thrilled because this is the type of of party he had the year before. After trying to get him to choose a different party theme I finally gave in and started planning yet another Lightening McQueen party:) We got all the lightening McQueen decorations we could find! I even ordered a lightening Mcqueen cake and cupcakes because Bentley kept saying how excited he was about his cake. He asked to have party hats which is kind of funny because it seems like kids don't wear them or like them. Well at his party I felt dumb because all the kids wanted them and I had only bought a few thinking no one would want them.. lesson learned. Bentley invited about 20 friends and cousins so we had a lot of kids there but the more the merrier in my book. He had friends from school, and playgroup this year which is why there were so many. We played games like tag, mother may I, red rover, duck duck goose, basketball, pin the number on Lightening McQueen, and some others. After playing games we stopped to eat some pizza and cake. The cake was a confetti mix with raspberry filling and butter cream frosting and it was sooo good. We sang happy birthday and Bentley wasn't shy at all. He just smiled and beamed as everyone sang to him. Something I forgot to mention is that it was freezing. When I say freezing, I mean turn year lips blue shivering freezing cold. Since we live in Arizona you almost never have to worry about having a party outside but it just so happened the day of the party a cold front moved in. The kids for the most part braved the cold and had fun. But the parents and younger kids and babies were really struggling to keep warm. I felt so bad so my mom had my dad bring a large tarp and we put that up on one side of the ramada to block some of the wind. It helped a lot and allowed us to continue the party at the park. After pizza and cake we had Bentley open his presents. He was spoiled and has had so much fun playing with them all. One is particular was a vacuum my parents got him. Bentley wanted a vacuum for Christmas but sadly santa didn't bring it.(I didn't think he was really serious :)) Soooo long story short, my mom ordered him one for his birthday and he loves it. He likes to clean the rooms and vacuum right along side me. Anyways, after presents we had a lightening McQueen pinata much like the years before to end the party off with a bang! I think the party was a success and we went home and had a blast watching him tear into all the toys. We are so grateful for the sweet, obedient, athletic, spiritual, handsome, loving boy that Bentley is becoming. He truly is a special one of a kind boy that is sensitive to the feelings of others. He loves life and all that it has to offer. He is a great listener and example. He is a wonderful big brother and our family is so lucky to have him. He can be silly and make me laugh. He loves to dance and sing songs he is learning at school and in primary. He is my little baby boy and I am so privileged to be his mom. He loves when I will read him bed time stories and he loves to go on walks. Bentley we love you and can't wait to see what this year of being four brings. sidenote( He is already talking about his spiderman birthday party for when he turns five:))
