Mothers Day!

This year on mothers day it was so nice being surrounded by all the people I love and that love me! They made the day extra special by serving me a delicious breakfast with an omelet, bacon, and orange juice. Jon also spoiled me this year by getting me an Ipad, and a Maid service to come clean my house. Both of which will come in handy very soon because I am getting back surgery on Wednesday the 16th of May! I will be out of commission for awhile and this scares me to pieces. I am glad to know my home will get a deep clean and that I will be entertained though! We went to church where some of the youth in our ward gave great talks on what they have learned from their moms and it was very touching to hear. One girl said she asked her mom if there was one piece of advice she could give what would it be. Her mom told her to stay close to the savior. This touched me to the soul. I have been worrying myself about how everything and everyone will get taken care of with my upcoming back surgery. I needed that reminder in church that when I stay close to my savior, he will help me get through anything. I am also humbled at my friends and family who have offered their help! I will be forever grateful for all of you and your kindness! We also went to my moms house where she (on her mothers day she was still giving giving giving) made a delicious cafe rio style meal and shortcake for dessert. It was soooo good. She is my angel and I couldn't ask for a better example to follow. We had fun visiting with everyone and watching the crazy kiddos play together! I am so grateful for all the wonderful examples of mothers that surround me and for the service they have given me over the years. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been blessed with to be a mother to my own children. The humble me everyday but I love those precious souls so much! Me and my two handsome boys. I am So lucky!
This is the true madness that goes on haha.... no body looking, babies screaming.

We were able to go see my brother Kyle bless his first baby on April 15, 2012. He was born one month before Wyatt so we are lucky to have a close cousin in age for Wyatt to play with when they are older. Kyle gave a wonderful blessing and Kelsey bore a thoughtful testimony. They are such great parents and baby Trey is such a cutie. We are so lucky to live close to family! After we went to a luncheon at Kelsey's parents home where we ate yummy bbq sandwiches, potato salad, chips, dips, and more. The kids played and ran wild as usual while the adults visited. Wyatt is now 3 weeks and is such a good baby. I always thought nursing was the hardest thing about being a mom to a newborn but wyatt has proved me wrong. He is doing leaps and bounds better then my other two ever did. Happy baby= happy momma:) He is such a blessing and pretty much eat, sleeps, and poops. He is having more awake time now though and will stare at me and turn his head towards the different sounds going on around him. Bentley and Bailey still mostly ignore him but when they do want to see him they are soft with him and pat his little head and give him kisses. Bailey even started carrying around her baby doll and swaying like I do with wyatt and patting it's back. I am so grateful for my little family of 5 and although being a mom is not for wimps, it is a lot of hard work, I wouldn't change a thing.

Wyatt is now over 1 month old!

Bentley and Bailey love to play wrestle and fight on our big bed.
Where did April go? The time is flying by. My baby is now six weeks old. Just when I think I am getting the hang of things Wyatt will switch things up. He was sleeping longer throughout the night but then this past week he started having trouble with his acid reflux and now spits up which keeps him up more throughout the night. I am hoping he will grow out of it but boy does loss of sleep make this momma grumpy. Wyatt is such a sweet boy and loves to cuddle. When I burp him he is so strong and will hold his head up so he can stare at me. I love when his little eyes are looking at me. He has even started to smile a little which just makes my heart melt. I adore his smiles and it makes my day when he will flash one my way. He loves to sleep in his swing and this has been helping with his reflux problems as well. The only down side about having this little cutie near me sleeping is that he snores louder than his dad. A girl could go crazy trying to fall asleep surrounded by two snorers you know:) He now weighs 11.6 lbs and grew almost two inches since he was born. He is going to be a big boy! Thats more than Bentley weighed at this age and I thought he was huge. Wyatt also makes little squeaky noises when he is asleep and awake so sometimes we call him squeaker. He still has all of his gorgeous brown hair and his olive skin is sticking around too. He is tough and manages to stay in one piece with his siblings climbing all around him while I feed him or while he is laying down. Bentley has become quite the talker and loves to help me do things. He always asks to go places or to play with friends which makes me feel bad because I can't always grant his wish with two other babies nap schedules. He watches movies, colors, and reads books during quiet time. He loves to ride his bike and play rowdy with his cousins and friends. He is a tender hearted boy and gets his feelings hurt easily. He can be so great with Bailey and they will laugh and have fun together but other times he will pick on Bailey and push her over. Bailey is quite the crazy women these days. She is always running around and getting into things. She started climbing out of her crib a few days after we brought wyatt home so she is now in a toddler bed. It's working out ok but sometimes I find her laying by the door or on our computer chair. She will be my child that breaks an arm by climbing things I am sure of it. She is my princess and knows how to push my buttons. She will be getting into something and I when I tell her "no" she starts waving and in the sweetest voice starts saying Hi Hi Hi or she will start crying. She will try anything Bentley does and more which scares me. She likes to "help" me with things but only makes them three times as hard for me to get done.(thats just the way it is sometimes:)) I have been trying to get out of the house with the kids so we don't all drive each other crazy, but thats always hard too because my bad back can only handle so much with three kids. I love getting out but pay for it when I get home and my back is throbbing in pain. I hope and pray that I can get it fixed soon or find someway to get a new back because I want to be able to do so much more for my family and friends. Well thats about all for now. I am sure I am leaving something out but oh well...

Easter 2012

Easter is one of my favorite times of the year! I am so grateful for my savior's sacrifice and the atonement in my life. I know he lives and that I can be made clean and have my burdens lightened through him. I love any extra reason to be with family as well and this year didn't disappoint. The Saturday before Easter we had a fun get together with an easter egg hunt, egg coloring, games, and a delicious meal. The next weekend Jons parents Marni and Eric came to visit. This was very exciting because it has been over two years since we have seen them, so they hadn't seen Bentley since he was 10 months and they hadn't even met our other two kids. We went to Freestone Park and let the kids ride the train. Also Jons mom had a little easter egg hunt for them there. The kids loved the candy and toys they found! Bailey was finding the eggs just as fast as Bentley so there was some good ole sibling rivalry. Saturday night we ate at Texas Roadhouse and the rest of the time we just spent visiting and catching up. Sunday we had a delicious breakfast and then got ready for church. I had gotten the kids Easter outfits so they all matched. Growing up it was a tradition to get a new church outfit for Easter Sunday and I will for sure carry that fun tradition on. Church was uplifting and spiritual as usual and I can't ever express enough how thankful I am for the gospel in my life. Wyatt with daddy at two weeks old
