Trip to California!

Jon was making a trip to california for some business so we decided to make a family trip out of it. Our friends Riley and Lisa were so gracious to allow us to stay at their place. We enjoyed playing games with them, eating, and going to the beach. There son Kingsley was so good to play with Bentley as well. We had so much fun going to the park because Bentley loved every minute of it. He was all smiles. The beach was also fun but more difficult to keep Bentley from crawling everywhere. He is so active now. What happened to my little boy is all I have to say. Hope all is well with everyone.

seven months and lots of firsts!

Well the month of September has flown by just like the rest of the year. Bentley is learning new things with each day it seems like. I wish I could figure out how to put his videos on here. They are quite entertaining. He crawls all around now except he doesn't use his knees, he just pulls himself like a slinky. He would rather be standing than on the ground crawling. He can balance himself standing for a few seconds now. He will play for hours in his exersaucer and also up next to the ottoman. He loves watching Cooper and Maverick play and he loves to feed them from his chair. Bentley has got a good handle on feeding himself puff cereal and Nutri Grain bars. He loves both fruit and vegetables! Bentley loves when grandma Curtis watches him. He will giggle and giggle when anyone plays with him but especially when Heidi or Collin come up to him. I love to hear him laugh and his smile just melts me. When I nurse him he is so precious and loves to run his fingers through my hair or play with a soft blanket. He went to Build a Bear for the first time when cousin Belle and Chad were in town. My mom took them and we all had such a great time! Bentley loves stuffed animals and my mom put a recording of her voice in the dog as well. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I look at the video monitor and Bentley will just be playing away with his stuffed animals in his crib. Something kind of funny about Bentley but sad when we see him cry is when we get a new garbage bag out to put in the trash for some reason he freaks out and starts crying hysterically. It is the weirdest thing because it doesn't matter how soft you do it as soon as he sees that bag he is in tears. He is such a good boy though and we are so lucky to have him.


This is what Bentley does when he wakes up. He will cry and pull down his bumper so that he can try to find us. It is so adorable and I love when he spots us.... He will get a huge grin on his face.

August Weddings!

This month has just flown by. We were busy with work, wedding plans, and family. I love having all my family in town. It is always so fun to catch up with everyone and hang out like old times... only now there are tons of little ones running around(: We went to my cousin Alli's reception last week and it was just beautiful. She designed her dress her self which is awesome and something I could never do. I also got to see my good friend Carli Heap -Turley there; she was with her husband and they were serving yummy cookies. This last Thursday my brother Kyle and is beautiful Fiance Kelsey got married. The ceremony was so spiritual and amazing. I love going to the temple because there is such a strong spirit you feel there and it is so peaceful. Kyle and Kelsey both looked awesome and we had such a fun day. The lunceon was delicious ( Great Job Mom!) and the receptions was so much fun. There was dancing and I saw so many people I hadn't seen in a long time. Here are just a few pics from our day.

Busy Boy

This month has been busy. Bentley is forced to run random errands with me and attend different functions with me. I have been busy keeping up with work and my motherly duties and Jon has been busy with his work as well. We are excited for the upcoming weddings of my brother Kyle to Kelsey and my cousin alli to her fiance. I love being around family and can't wait until Chad and Jess get here to make it complete.

Bentley loves to stand up next to his crib or the couch or whatever it may be. He hates laying down(which isn't always a good thing) and will try his hardest to get himself up.

Bentley loves his dads work chair. He likes to be spun around and likes to play with a certain orange highlighter Jon has.

I love the shirt he has on. It says small but mighty. Bentley is so strong and can pull him self up and bounce really high in his jumper and exersaucer. He is a tall boy but normal in his weight and head size.

Bentley has been busy attending bridal showers with me this month since my brother is getting married and so is my cousin Alli. He is such a trooper and usually does great running errands with me. He loves new places and seeing new faces except sometimes he becomes overwhelmed by it all and starts frantically crying.

Bentley Loves our Dogs Cooper and Maverick. When he heres there paws clicking and coming closer he stretches his neck all around to see where there at. He also trys to reach down and touch them.

My baby boy is almost six months

I can't believe how fast times flies. I know i always say this but it is just crazy. Bentley can roll over now , he reaches for everything (which has kept me on my toes), he is getting his first tooth, and he loves to read books. Unfortunately he is also starting to recognize whose holding him and when Jon and I aren't there. Here are a few pics I took of him last sunday. There is also one of us at Rosa's. It is so hard to keep him quiet in public places because he loves to scream and yell above all the noise.
